I know little about the rods you sale but know of a possible use that could provided a new and growing market. I am a amatuer raqdio operator, "ham" who has been studing a new antenna design called a hexbeam. It is a lightweight multiband antenna with a gain est of 6 db. The antenna uses light weight rodes of up to 10+ feet in the shape of an inverted umbrella to make 20 meter or higher frequency antennas. The driven unit and director are stacked useiing a w shape that allows for a single direct connection to a 50 ohm coax. There is no other lighter smallerbetter performing multiband antenna on the market. Six poles per ant. are needed. The information from builders state pvc tubing will not work. Some hams are useing fishing poles. There are sites that sell tubes for this use but their prices are high.
Question: have you heard of anyone useing your products to make hexbeam antennas and who do I need to talk to about the best rods for this antenna. The rod should be strong, lightweight, but flexable. I can't tell you if a tapered pole is needed. Any information you may have would be apreciated. I am considering selling kits for this antenna. If you need more info please email me.

Good question! We are producing some of the wrapped carbon tubes, G-Force, Exel, etc. However, neither Avia Sport nor Goodwinds produced pultruded carbon rods and tubes. Both companies source from an American composites manufacturer.

Thanks for asking, Anthony. Goodwinds will not be selling kites, only carbon, fiberglass, and accessories for building or fixing kites. The reason for this is that we sell our carbon to lots of kite stores, and we don't want to compete directly with them. I'll drop you and email and see if I can help facilitate finding some other Elliot Kite models.
Cheers,
Amelia

Will Goodwinds take over the distribution of Elliot Kites from Germany since Avia Sport is the current North America distributer. I have been interested in a few of their products and only one model is sold by Into The Wind. I have considered ordering them direct from Germany, but some of the leading dealers do not ship out of Europe.

Regards,
